Greetings from a hot (28C) sticky (61% humidity) Sunday in Adelaide. Check back to page 13 of last week's chat if you missed the whale or bird videos. Thanks Diane & Chloe.
As I suspected would happen, Dau returns too late to collect or receive Jasper this eve, so I shall deliver HRH tomorrow after my Physio appt. Latter is to strengthen muscles to assist knee recovery. Huh, all it seems to be doing is to make knees even more sore than usual. I shall persist. Sermon this morn had some appropriate words to encourage me, about not fearing change to make things better.
My memories of the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) that I saw as a child was of blue & pink. Yet most pics are of green. Hence I was pleased to see some non-green Aurora. My memory isn't failing LOL.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENDA
Thanks for your news, see some snow has started falling, ours is expected in the evening. Day started lovely, bright, sunny and cold but has now turned cloudy and the wind is getting up - so are we to get some too, we'll have to wait and see.
Lovely captures Sandra.
Like the ones of Billie and Dibnib that one of the cat in a contortionist position sleeping, ah...........

Dibnlib - OH and I ate at the Green Inn while staying at Craigendarroch and it was fabulous. Have to say though, that it was a few years ago. Do let us know how it went, when the time comes. OH comes from Donside and then Deeside (moved as a teenager, parents retired from farming on Donside and moved to Banchory) so we like to trog down there every now and again so that he can revisit old haunts and visit his nieces and nephews etc. I was watching video clips of Up Helly Aa 2012 last night. The Kintore Pipe Band were playng . Pipe Major and some of the band are relatives of OH and they sent us the clips. By all accounts they had a great time. I would love to go sometime. We just don't get ourselves organised far enough in advance. What you said about the ferry the other day - OH couldn't agree more!!
Thanks Paul for your shot of Dunedin osprey -as you say, typical poise. She is still there and one of mum and dad at Ocean's View
at present nothing on the Hampton cam.
pose of Ocean's View looks familiar - could be at LG!!
Dibnlib ~ Enjoy yourself at Craigendarroch, its a lovely place, we have stayed many times in the timeshare lodges there. Never tried The Green Inn though, although I think I know where it is - let us know how you get on. Enjoyed the Cat photos.

Richmond female on the nest. They think she is just resting but eggs due soon:
Great osprey pic on Birdguides:

Super zooming at Richmond:
Spent more time on ancient, old and less old photos – lots of detective work required – and the sudden question: what do we do with them when they are in order? Ho hum! My memory is usually a blessing, but this job is stretching it to the limits!
Dibnlib – that sounds a really good holiday for you – leisure facilities wouldn’t suit me, and I always begrudge paying for them when we do occasionally stay in hotels, but just right for you with swimming etc – so I’m glad I know someone who will benefit from “the extras”! Sorry Dillon can’t go, but it’s not a long stay to leave him. Would you go to Mum’s first, so you have the holiday to relax after that? Another great cat pic – with suggestion for Billie when she rolls! Sorry about Rugby result!
Lynette – lovely bright pic for Brenda’s birthday – I should think that reminder of summer will have cheered everybody up!
Thanks all for evening bird captures. J’s TV programme nearly finished, so supper drink and bed very soon.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Lovely captures Alan and of the closeup of the feathers - stunning.
Snow has finally arrived here and it is now about 3 to 4 cm. Dau out for a meal with friends and her dad is getting worried as she is not home yet. We have two steep hills on the way back from Northampton to negotiate so he is worried about the roads. Fortunately she has just rung us and is not too far away - that should please him. Dad's - they do worry about their daughters.
Just been looking at the webcams and captured the female at Dunedin and the eagle at Hampton.
Hope the snow soon disappears but keep warm everyone and stay indoors.
