2 weeks after it was first spotted on Thursday 15th October. The location is just at the roadside of the B1362 between Burstwick and Halsham (near a large 'stately' looking house).. Once again it was feeding on a large goldfish in the same tree branch ! The bird looks a bit 'rough'.
I intend to go again tomorrow ( friday 30th) with camera..It better be there !
How extraordinary. Must have sensed the indian summer we are experiencing (well in the SE anyway) Good luck trying to get a photo. Wonder if it is ringed ...
Interesting Wonder if it's lost or very late in migrating.....
Good luck thebones1234 - hope to see your photos. For comparison, this is a juvenile osprey which had a stopover near Doncaster in late Sept - this one looks pretty sleek and well fed though.

Oh, I so hope this precious Osprey does migrate successfully. Winter winds and all that!
Gadzooks! I'd better replace the net over my koi carp!
