Nora laid her 3rd egg at 9.06 this morning.
Did she? Wonderful news, thankyou Alan!
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
The Estonian ospreys are spending a lot of time together on the nest this morning. It looks as though Piret doesn't entirely welcome Madis's attentions (thank you ALAN) or maybe Madis is young and not an accomplished "mater" yet :-?
I will post whatever video I get, tell me to stop if need be!
IMAGICAT
Madis certainly looks a young lad whereas Piret looks more mature. I havn't seen one successful mating yet, and several times she's pecked at him. Maybe she's hedging her bets and hoping a previous mate will turn up.
Here's Piret having thoroughly rejected Madis:
Scylla, reminds me of my late mother in law. :))

Fish on the nest at Hailuoto. As far as I can gather this is not the regular couple Kemo and Nemo so I expect there will be trouble when they turn up:

Thanks for news about Nora, ALAN
