Thank you Alan. Because that diary entry mentioned Nimrod, I went and refreshed my memory of his tracking history. I wonder if the problem with his satellite tag has not also happened with some of the other ospreys (the aerial has snapped off his back pack and could not transmit signals) and that is the reason there are no more signals from Mallachie, Bynack etc. Be nice to think they are still around out there.
The only source of knowledge is experience. Albert Einstein
Carol : I hope you are right but every transmitter malfunction seems different. If we get signals from the same position for several days the outcome is usually bad.

SANDRA, it's the peregrine photos I keep meaning to thank you for. Maybe I've done it twice now - that's OK, you deserve it ;-D

Does Aberfoyle have a webcam online? I see from their site that the three nests have cameras on them, that go to the visitor centre, Maybe, like Dyfi, they'll go online when the eggs hatch. I do hope so, I should be interested to see how the notorious 'Metal Ring' copes with parenthood!
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Rach Aberfoyle has had very bad luck in the last few years. The nest has not been successful in the last few years.

Rach, I am curious about Metal Ring also, he hasn't been mentioned since the last post when he was seen.
I really hope a sucessful year for Aberfoyle Tiger.
I hope to visit Aberfoyle soon. So I can give you a report! :)
i am surprise Dyfi haven;t mentioned a second egg on an updated blog......perhaps they only write it once a week
