Dunedin male:
This was the Kalakotkas osprey on the nest early this morning, it stood stock still (more or less) on the edge of the nest for another 20 mins before my recording cut off spontaneously.
Got another one somewhere from this afternoon but EJ and Odin are keeping me frazzled ;-)

At Caerlaverock, Willow shoots have grown up between camera and nest, so difficult to see anything. No report of any second egg yet.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

Kalakotkas osprey (who I think is male by the markings, can someone confirm or correct me as I'm still learnin', I realise it may not be cut and dried) nestorising this afternoon. What a sleek bird!!!
Looks like I wasted my efforts with all the stills, CIRRUS and ALAN - isn't it a beautiful bird?!
