Unknown said: RACH In 2010 Metal Ring turned up to the nest where Male Green DX and Female Red 6A had laid three eggs. He evicted Green DX and destroyed all three eggs. He also manage to chase Red 6A away. In 2011 - He turned up and evicted Male Green DX and Yellow OU (Female) from the nest. He finally settled with an unringed female and she laid three eggs but she abandoned them the day before they were due to hatch. 2012 - News he returns to the nest with Red 6A. Hope this assists.

I think a11 is the more official name but I am aware of it being called 57 too.
I have always assumed that '57' was the original designation, before there were enough nests for it to make sense to divide them geographically.

I do not know Rachel. I think Roy Dennis saying something about it in his book "Life of Ospreys" but I do not have a reference to a page, but I soon will have! :)
I wish Roy would have put an index in his book. Or maybe he wanted us to look and look. A bit like the father with the four lazy sons! He told them there was treasure in the orchard but not the location.
Which reminds me another of my passions Masquerade!
I know the reference you mean, TIGER. My books are all over the place at present (major domestic rearrangement in progress!) so not going to try & find it just now.
Cant wait to get an update from Roy's website to see if Beatrice is home!!!
Mary GK - Red 8T was updated a few days ago and had roosted on Isle of White. You know he is a favourite and once he is settled will be off to sit at the fish farm and look for him.
The weather yesterday should have been favourable to complete her (Beatrice) journey from Dundee home to Forres. I did write too another Oil Company after Tallisman Oil sponsored Beatrice to do the same but they declined (I wonder who ?) - I will gtell you the story in a PM later.
