captured this pic about an hour ago - mum was extremely agitated (maybe hungry?) and was all over the nest and it looked like weeny one was in danger of being trampled - the size of her talons against his small stature - scary!!

Just been to Finland and can't believe the size of these chicks - wonder if the third egg will hatch??

hi, i'm new to this forum. I'm italian student and i'm studying at the university in the degree of Natural Science. I have uncovered various cam for bird watching and I'm passionate. I'm looking at these nests almost always seen that keep me company while I prepare the exams. :-)

I have to say that this nest is quite messy... they should tidy it up a bit.

The Loch Garten nest is the main focus of many people on this forum.
There is a day by day summary of what has happened on the Loch Garten nest this year on this thread, and from the forum tab above you will find a daily thread detailing what has been observed.
The satellite tracking radios were fitted to these birds on the morning of Friday 29 June. They are expected to start flying from the nest in a round a week's time.
