Dunedin male:
It's so sad to see her so soaking wet, doing her hardest to keep the babies dry, have to admit I find it very hard to watch, and feel so helpless, but I suppose at the minute this must be happening in so many nests, you wonder what effect this terrible weather will have on our bird population this year, very sad for all of them
The more you rush, the longer it takes
Hi Carol.
I have seen that happen in the New Forest Peregrine nest a few years ago. I didn't realise they did that until I saw it with my own eyes. Sad!! :-(
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Very sad to hear about the little peregrine chicks. The Nottingham falcon was soaked to the skin, such a shame that after her devotion some of the little ones have been lost, and now reports that the male has not been seen; this does not bode well for this nest.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Are the Nottingham peregrines out in the open. Peregrine normally nest under a roof!
Tiger Signature
Yes they are Tiger as are the Manchester peregrines. CHX ones are under a roof but not looking good for one chick

The pair at Nottingham Trent university have lost two out of their four chicks and Tom and Charlie the pair at Charing Cross Hospital have one very weak chick which is not feeding and prospects are not good. All down to the terrible weather this weekend. This is the falcon in Nottingham last night.

Just had a look at Char X peres and have to say, that altho' its not out of the woods yet, the 3rd chick looks better than it did on Sat. Mum is standing up a bit and all 3 chicks are semi-standing if you know what I mean If you look at the pics I posted on this thread on Sat the little one is laid flat out and barely moved. yesterday the one time I caught them being fed it was taking a little food I watched for ages and all 3 got fed, albeit one more than the others, which is not unusual
Very sad to see that the perry chicks are not doing well :'(
On the kalakotkas nest all has not been harmonious :o
Madis has been nestorising, Kala (I'm calling her that because it's an abbreviation of their Estonian name and Ancient Greek for "beautiful") flies in with a piece of the fish Madis gave her earlier. Madis attempts to mate but she tips him off, then he tries to take the fish a few times but she pecks him away.
IMAGICAT
Two alive and two dead :-(
Camera has zoomed in on them now.
