What every cam watcher needs is day/night map
or here is another version
Tiger Signature
That's interesting, Tiger, thankyou! I guess they are quite a bit east of us when you look at the map like that.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
No night-light on the Estonian osprey nest.

The Nova Scotia webcam is live now:

Oscar is back.
I'm looking at the Estonian site again. The birdsong is wonderful, marred now and again by train noise, [I think]. However I havn't seen the ospreys yet!
Rach : It's a great cam and with sound too. Here's hoping for a successful season for them.

There is someone who follows the Nova Scotia nest very closely over at "Ospreys" There was a fascinating situation two years ago where the first clutch of eggs did not hatch. The pair then laid a second clutch and one ospreys was raised. It is only example I know of where a second clutch of eggs produced viable chicks.
ALAN thanks for the link to the Estonia webcam, yet another one to follow.

Strange looking nest, Tiger. It looks as if there's a stump or branch-end in the middle of the nest.
Do you know when the second clutch was laid? It must have been pushing it re migration time.
The Nova Scotia nest, that is.
Estonia live but no-one on nest. I've set Jaksta to download in the background, hoping for a nice surprise later :-)
