Dunedin male:
Goings on at l'Etang du Ravoir on Saturday 17th.
Saturday March 17: `' 8Z'' is back! It was a fortuitous time for him to return because of the evidence that we see, another suitor was not going to be long in taking his place together with `' 02''… Towards 14H50 indeed, a male unringed, had come to be perched on the nest and the female had joined him by making the cries of request for contribution of fish, since he was not making a move to get on with it. Towards 16H10 and after a short absence, it is she who appeared with a beautiful fish that she once again had just caught herself. While she consumed it perched partially visible on the top of a dead tree trunk…then a male, again unringed according to photographs checked and made of him in flight, arrived towards 16H30 with a fish, moving towards the nest… Just then, emerging from nowhere, `' 8Z'' appeared whilst alarm calling wildly to drive out this intruder. He returned to be perched momentarily on the bent branch, which is next to our viewing area, which enabled us to quickly check by the reading of the code of the orange ring that he carries on the left leg that it was confirmed to be him. What a pleasure to see the return of this valiant male! Given that `' 02'' had still gone to fish for herself a little earlier (and probably for the last time for a long time), one can suppose that he arrived or had only just arrived since the final stage of his premarital migration, only to have to split up the possible union and furthermore having to defend his territory… While the female continued to eat her fish out of the nest, he (or she)* changed his (or her)* perch several times in the rain which started to fall… Given that very quickly, this couple reunited again will have found their accustomed habitat and companionship, then they will gratify us for the fifth time with the spectacle of a cycle of reproduction, which one hopes for, as they succeeded in the two last years…
This sentence * begins with ‘elle’ and ends with ‘il’? He and she, it could be read either way.

Fantastic news this morning.
I just had a feeling that sighting at Brampton yesterday was him.
Over the moon is putting it mildly.
FAB
Mike, the webcam is on this morning at 9:30, no osprey on the nest though! :-(
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Thank you, have just found it on. Have rung RSPB re lack of update in the Diary and they had no knowledge even that a bird had been seen far less on the nest and identified!!. Rutland are frantically working to get the live streaming up and running. What a fantastic camera.

No great surprise. Rutland is not an RSPB site.
Tiger. The phone call was to the Wales office re Glaslyn. The Rutland comment was just for info as it is also mentioned in these posts. Sorry if that caused confusion. Two calls, separate issues. One message!.
