Welcome, Regulars, Drop-ins and Readers, to the December GABFEST!
November has been a busy Roller-Coaster month for The Gabfest. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve fought & made-up, we’ve worried. After a longer than usual silence, we learned that Keith was seriously ill in hospital. However he is now nicely recovered and is contemplating an extended time in the warm Florida sun with his family.
We had one major planned event - The Gabfest’s Second Music Night. Again a major success!
We’ve chatted happily about many topics: travels, tartans and of course, ospreys ,birds, and more ospreys. Food has been a favorite topic from Clooty Dumpling & black bun, to a demonstration in tablet making , to giant cakes and Thanksgiving menus and St Andrews dinners. We survived Guy Fawkes’ bonfires & fireworks. Much of this was nicely illustrated by our three excellent in-house photographers, Black Jaguar, MaryGK & Keith. We’ve seen many new faces. Some just drop in and out for quick visits ( always welcome) while others have stayed and become one of our growing community of friends.
So what will December bring? Will we get first hand reports of American osprey living in sunny Florida? Will our Gabbers ask for a third Music Night? Where will our chatter take us this December? Christmas is coming which should lead to more good cheer.
Our fire is burning merrily as befits early winter days and nights when we‘ve already had our first snows. So come on in, and be one with a group of friends where you can always expect the unexpected..
black jag,i'm sure it will be ok if we refer to them by name.

May not be hungry,he had plenty yesterday.
He is a beauty, but not as cute as Odin.
Hi B&B enjoy your walk,or should I say did Morris.
He is stunning lowry and I think he is young but can any Osprey expert give an oppinion. I would welcome it however to say Osprey expert, maybe not as so much now as so many out of the "ordinary" has happened this year. My instinct is he is young.
No mishaps B&B?
You and morris home safely..
black jag, have a look at the thread for other nests, look at the last post,a video, brilliant.
