Hi everyone. If you didn't catch pages 20 and 21 of last week's blog, check them out for lovely photos of Woodpigeons, sunset at Solway, and a wonderful shot of 10 puppies!! And, of course, interesting and funny posts from fellow bloggers.
Another lovely cat, Alan - Marvin the Marvellous!
As its Cat Photo Day: This is a kitten we saw at the breeder's house, when a friend of mine went to choose a Ragdoll cat. A fuzzy picture as taken with my mobile phone, but isnt she gorgeous?
Unknown said: For anyone planning a visit to LG next year, why not visit Mercedes the polar bear in Kingussie! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/highlands_and_islands/8318276.stm. Kingussie is on the A9 south of Aviemore, not far from LG at all. Great to see her in a much bigger environment than the one she had in Edinburgh Zoo. FAB as Alan might say!

Surely the Highland Wildlife Park is at Kincraig - even nearer to Aviemore - Kingussie is further south, near Newtonmore? It was excellent to visit without Mercedes - and you could drive round more than once if you wanted! Their collected animals were really good, but highlight for us was seeing a pinemarten running across the track (no picture though!)

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Oh, what a beauty!! Would have to hope there was a fence between Him & me, OG!
My mouth's still watering at the thought of that yummy chocolate cake you mentioned. We did have fresh raspberries from our allotment tonight though, with dieter's vanilla ice cream!!
It has finally rained here, properly,at 5.00pm, for the first time in ages (well, it did rain one night, in the night, but I don't count that) - I looked out of the bedroom window and could see TWO rainbows, both perfect bows, at once. Quite often, when you see two, one of them is not complete. For the benefit of our overseas readers, don't get confused this weekend as we change the clock on Sunday morning at 2.00am our time, and go back an hour to 1.00pm. (just one of our funny little traditions)
Normal 0 false false false
OG and Annette; yes I took Lion King :) but we ended up watching Poirot and a music video that Brenda had unearthed and really enjoyed recently (Faith somebody or other) – it was like a show.
Oh Alicat. Want to tickle her tummy.
OG – Wonderful horns on the Highland cow! Hope the en suite work goes smoothly.
Lindybird.- Marvellous Marvin – such a sweetie pie (concerning Ragdolls - I don’t believe in house cats though. Every living things requires fresh air.)
Alicat, two cuties !! What is your Westie called? And your gorgeous (ali)cat? :)
Oh AQ, I’ve only just caught up with Grand-kitten. All these lovely pussies are making my heart ache so.
Caerann. Gotta a Crane pic now but no Cranes currently insight. Always the same way, isn’t it. I’ll just keep watching.
Gary, who sponsored you for LBA then? (another secret l…….b……. in our midst J ) . Well, it’s just so good to have the right tools for whatever job needs to be done. And I wish I did :(
Nite all, bed calls.
Caerann, Caerann, I saw a Crane !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
evening everyone:) Enjoyed all the chat and photo's. I wasn't always a "cat person" but was converted a few years ago.
OG, that cake sounds scrummy and I am with your hubby on the amount of filling.. LOL Glad the improvements are coming along well.
LOL Cirrus. Good night
Lindybird, thanks for the reminder about the clocks going back. We do the same thing here in the States but ours (hours!) go back a week later. For my mum (who still lives in Kent) and I it can get very confusing
OG: You are right about the wildlife park - Kincraig, Kingussie, Inverness-shire, PH21 1NL. Have you visited it?

Sorry - should have guessed you would know better!!
Cirrus: My friend did have a Ragdoll kitten (not that particular one) after our visit to the breeder, but Ella is a very lucky girl as she is now growing up well in a cottage with a walled garden at the rear, which she regards as her own territory and only allows humans to enter when she thinks they deserve a sit down! and where she 'talks' to the passing birds- also, she has two dogs for company and guess who is top dog/cat??
Off to watch controversial TV prog. on tonight "Question Time" 'Night All.
