Hi all:
Lindybird: I responded to your post at the end of the last Weekly Chat.
Alan very impressive antler and a very impresive Hamish. He is just so gorgeous.
Margobird
Lovely antler, Alan- but dogs are cuter! as Hamish evidently knows already.
Alan ... lovely pics and Hamish is gorgeous ... so like my next door neighbours dog, Mollie, who sadly died a couple of years ago ... she was a blue roan cocker spaniel ... is that what Hamish is?

Enjoy yourself, Margobird. Hope the weather continues to be kind.
Off now to tackle a huge pile of ironing (where does it all come from, when there are only 2 of us?).
DjoanS: You are right about Hamish being a blue roan, he is so like a dog owned by a friend of mine (called Rawson) & he does lots of the same things as Hamish, such as playing with his blankets.
Djoans : Hamish is a blue roan cocker spaniel. Pedigree name Kinsdale Little Charmer.
Margobird : Have a great time.
Sun is out now so off to tidy up the garden manually i.e. sans leaf blower.
Hamish is so cute:)) What a guy. Looks like he knows who is boss as well.......
Cirrus, since 9/11 I think visits to the flight deck(!) have stopped. I asked a couple of years ago and was told it wasn't allowed now. I would have loved to have done it. Also, Thornton is a hand reared sheep:)

Lindybird, here is a link to a little bit about lake effect snow. Effectively if you are surrounding a large body of water, watch out in the winter! It usual happens around the Great Lakes area in the US, right on the border of Canada. This is from that link.
"For example, residents of the Tug Hill Plateau in New York State east of Lake Ontario can spend the winter months digging out of anywhere from 200 to 300 inches of snow"
Wow Alan what a wonderful name for a beautiful dog. The "Little Charmer" is certainly appropriate in this case. Bet he is loved to bits.
Will do Lindybird. I often wonder where all the ironing comes from as well as there are only 2 of us.
Morning all.
Sue: An interesting list - but "flock" (my favorite word) didn't appear once.
Margobird: Yes indeed. Ordered a special sunny fall day just for you. Glad it arrived. Hope you don't have to return it because of wrong color, insufficient skeins of geese, wrong size, etc. :-) My daughter stopped critiziing me when her own kids became old enough to critize her. ("The older I get, the smarter my parents become" adage.) Is this Denby farm that you're all talking about?
Lindybird: See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake-effect_snow for info on lake effect snow. And are you sure that wasn't your huge pile of ironing I did last night??
Cirrus: If you asked to see the "flight deck" now, they'd throw you on the floor and bundle you off to Guantanamo. :-) What IS that "Normal 0 false" business?
Alan: Hamish is adorable - how could anyone resist that face! "Lttle Charmer" indeed.
