Hi all:
Lindybird: I responded to your post at the end of the last Weekly Chat.
Morning all:
Finally saw the stag and his girls this morning. Are there any other stags around to challenge this fellow or have they all been run off by now? Does he have a name? Oh, and there goes a jet.... There's a pony that doesn't seem to be impressed with the stag's loud "burping." And a (different?) horse whinnying in the distance, very faintly. Our stag seems keen on one doe; wonder if she isn't tired of him following her around bellowing like that (it sure can't be sweet nothings).
Alan: Beano, Dandy, and Desperate Dan. Oh boy, now THAT brings back memories. I wonder if those football results your wife interpreted were the "pools" that my Mum and Dad were always hoping they'd win.... I'd always have to be quiet when the results were being read on the radio. Sigh. Memories....
Emma Peel: Good to see you.
I love exclamation points too!!! We didn't use them in the magazines because their impact is diminished when they're over-used - the words were supposed to do the job. Now I'm retired, I like to use them in conjunction with questions marks, as in "What the ......?!!!!??" :-)
Auntie: Isn't that funny that leafblowers now have a pleasant (well, sort of) association with LG bloggers?
What are winter tyres (sorry, couldn't resist!!) We've had at least three inches of rain so far by the coast, and 10" up over the San Marcos Pass behind us. And it's still raining, but due to peter (sp?) off later this morning. An amazing amount for October!
Annette, that's a cruel jab, about winter tyres/tires LOL I know you guys over there don't have to worry about things like that.
Stay dry. That is a huge amount of rain.
Close up of the Stag. He's lovely ! All the girls should fancy him. And he gave the hind lying down such a gentle lick. Well, off to work now - hello again Annette.
Looking forward to yet another update, Alice willing when I get home,
Superb close ups of Stag and hind. I just love deer. They are just such lovely gentle creatures.
FAB
Lovely close up of stag. Ah, he's made a little space to sit down. Nap time? Hmm. Apparently not, he's just got up and rushed off to paw about somewhere else.
They are gentle creatures, aren't they? Like horses with those big, soft eyes....
Looks like this stag might have a problem with his rear right leg?
Yes , Annette, he is limping and they have shown close up shots of the leg.
NEW BLOG FROM ALICE!
Yeah. Thanks Alan.
