In response to the demand for an osprey chat thread I am now making one for September 2011. I guess there will be quite a bit to chat about given the success of the extension thread.

Rachel, this may be of interest to you regarding Richard, think he is a permanent member of LG staff but after Osprey season he does other things.
Take a look at limosaholidays click on tour guides, scroll quite a way down and you will find Richard.
Thanks Lowry. I found Richard :o)
Loch Garten stats. and All the important links for LG.
Thanks, Lowry & moffer. He may do this in his own time, though - he's off to Spain tomorrow (keeping one eye open for migrating ospreys, no doubt!) which he describes as 'leave' in his note on the blog today.
I thought that he was going to Osprey-lia LOL

20.40. Dulas has gone and it's not particularly good news. At 18.34 this evening he was heading south east and had just left land fall over Essex in the direction of Belgium. He has decided to start his migration on the very day we hoped he wouldn't. He has been severely blown off course. I'll knock up a screen-shot of his path today so far and post it here very soon, Ems
Rutland Ospreys.
09 has crossed the straights of Gibraltar and is making good progress through Morocco. He is approaching Tiznit.
As I said on another thread where we were given the news of Dulas, the weather here in London has been breezy with scattered clouds, so I'm hoping that Dulas is not encountering nasty winds over the sea off Essex.
We've been rather unlucky with news of our precious LG birds and Richard doesn't give a hint as to how long we must "be patient".
IMAGICAT
I think that there will be an update tomorrow, but then I don't know if we will get any more news until he's back.
Gosh Scylla, your lucky. It's been really windy here, with big trees down not far from me.
I hope that Dulas makes land safely, and then he'll be OK I'm sure.
