So the season extends by yet another day. One wonders if Bynack or Odin will fly away today. The only way to find out is to follow the thread.
There were 316 posts made yesterday.
How long will we have to wonder where Tore is? Is she in France? Is she heading for the sturgeon farm?

Last known visit to nest by Bynack @ 1132hr this morning.
Most unsatisfactory, Bynack doesn't give us a glimpse of his dear face. Dreadful camera glitches, am trying to get a still of his approach but :'(
IMAGICAT
Oh, PAM, that's very kind of you but I can't even remember how I helped LoL - just make sure you don't go anywhere . Keep in touch via Weekly Chat or one of the other threads and make sure you turn up for the next season here !
Good night CHLOE ( I am so thankful I can go online to your site over the autumn and winter)
That's not the sound of a hungry bird, is it?! :-)
SCYLLA ................. Marvellous , marvellous. It certainly was Bynack and sounding SO grown up. Thank you.
That was conversation SCYLLA not fish soliciting :)
Good evening everyone who is out there just now. I doubt there will be any more opportunities for me to post on the DU so I will take the opportunity to thank everyone who has joined in this season. It has been a great success and I have enjoyed every minute of it. The community has consolidated and grown. You are all wonderful and of course much better at contributing than I am since I can't even upload a pic on here yet. Plenty of time to learn though. Whilst fledging is my favourite part of the season this is my least favourite. Its such a guessing game working out if any osps are around or not and if they are, you sort of wish they weren't. Safe journey to our family and see you all again in 2012. Thanks for a wonderful time. Emma
Thank you too Emma! It has been a brilliant season. See you soon!

Cheerio, EMMA, I hope we meet again next osprey season :-)
Looking in again. It seems that folks are more or less in agreement that Bynack is making his way South and that Odin will probably go in the next day or so??
Perhaps we will be around for another couple of days but thank you one and all for all your pictures, videos and fantastic commentary. It is sad but also a happy time as they leave our shores for warmer climes.
Will Rothes make it all the way back next year and what of Mallachie - lets hope it was just the transmitter that gave up the ghost!!!
Once again God speed, EJ. Tore, and Bynack, and eventually Odin

These were attempts to get a still from that video of Bynack approaching the nest - the camera is going to need some TLC over the winter!
One minute the nest is covered in snow:
The next millisecond it's on fire:
