So the season extends by yet another day. One wonders if Bynack or Odin will fly away today. The only way to find out is to follow the thread.
There were 316 posts made yesterday.
How long will we have to wonder where Tore is? Is she in France? Is she heading for the sturgeon farm?

I know you can follow the Satellite tracking on the RSPB website, but like a lot of you I would like to follow on GE myself. I already had GE downloaded to my computer, so following Cirrus's helpfull tutorial I did all the add Loch Garten Ospreys bit, and also where it says to Refresh it every 12 hours. Only problem I have is that all I have is the map of Earth with every point on it, I can see no where at all that has any boxes with the birds names to untick, can anyone please help me to find those boxes.... what do I have to do. I know this should be on the Technical Thread but then I could wait forever for someone to see it, and I would like to do it now!!!! HELP!!!!

Here is Bynack's flypast and chirruping - he starts out quiet, distant.

Patily the satellite harnesses are stitched together using cotton. This will rot after a few years and the harness will fall off. I understand that the LG staff update GE.

Mary there should be a sidebar on left of the GE window, with subsections "Search", "places" and "Layers". If not, try to chose "view" in the GE Menu and check "Sidebar" in the second line there.
If you see the sidebar, look at "Places". There should be the default entry "my places", "sigthseeing tour" and beneath that I found the section "Loch garten Ospreys" and all names and routes
Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.
Mary: In GE on the left hand side there is the Places Panel. See the Loch Garten Ospreys Folder? Click on the + and all the birds names will come up ...
Hmmm Scylla do you think this will be your swan song - and your last video of Bynack, somehow I don't think so as he doesnt look quite ready to leave just yet.
Patily - He needs to go and get fishing on his way whilst taking advantage of decent early migrating conditions - Mallachie eventually did it and did extremely well with a great holiday in Portugal. The weather up here today is settled and great for Monday and Tuesday before it deteriorates and is drizzly so the next few days will get him down south in good conditions absolutely essential for the first few days of migration from the hghlands. As was pointed out both Logies tracked young left the area in 2007 and 2008 (4 Birds) and got caught up in inclement weather systems and did not get out of UK. Some older adults can deal with poor weather systems but it is extremely difficult for young birds on their first journey.

Do you need to scroll down in the left column to see the LG Ospreys?
Respond to this and then we'll think where to go next :-)
