Hmmmm, what to say at this point in the season ........ Thank you EJ, Odin, LG Staff and volunteers, RSPB, Carnyx and all forum members .....! We pray for the safe migration of all four family members and the safe arrival back next season of EJ and Odin - and the safe return of Tore and Bynack in a few years. I know they haven't gone yet but it's not often I start the DU these days and I guess their migration could happen any day soon ........
Tiger gave us a link to the migration stats which I didn't save. Must have a root around.
CIRRUS, I missed Odin's 11am potter yesterday so I have taken the liberty of down/uploading yours. Am gutted I deleted recordings and emptied the recycle bin several times, trying to turn over a new leaf :-(
LadyBird, I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks, waiting for Google Earth to update :'( It will be the first time for several of us.

Morning all. What a warm and wet night! Too hot and sticky to sleep.
All is quiet at LG although it's raining quite hard. Night cam is still on.
Loch Garten stats. and All the important links for LG.
Day cam on. Rain has eased up a bit. No sight or sound of our family yet.
Tore arrives on the nest for a brief visit.
EJ with FISH @ 6.06am.
Tore flies straight in and takes it. EJ flies away.
For those who have never followed the migration fasten your seat belts. It can be a bumpy ride as the Juveniles find their way to Africa for the first time.
They have never seen a huge body of water and yet they must cross one. They have never seen mountains yet must fly over them. They have never seen a place with no trees yet they must cross the desert and somehow find a place to roost . Plus they must learn to fish and go hungry when there is no body of water to fish in . This is a huge undertaking for birds that are less than 4 months old. Not meaning to sound pessimistic, but a lot can go wrong. My heart goes with them
