Hallo all. It's a brand new week!
Alan, you just had to get that in about us English didn't you!! LOL That Hamish is one smart dog!
Annette, sorry got confused between grandson and grand daughters boyfriend. Very good "catagories" though!!
Still sunny here, though getting colder now. Rain forecast for tomorrow.
Cerann, thanks for that interesting info about your ospreys there, the nest looks very high up. Let us know next spring if they claim it again.
Alan: (or should we call you Rob Roy???) Glad Thunderdog Hamish has enjoyed the fine weather. Our dim witted mixed breed mutt laid himself down on the grass even though it was covered in heavy dew this morning- he doesn't care much where he is, as long as his beloved Master is nearby.
Now we all await, with our breath held & fingers crossed, the reports of' 'our' ospreys from Alice tomorrow.
ps. Everyone: Don't miss a Most Important Photo in the Gallery: Tish has put up a picture of the most important and vital building in Scotland- Tesco at Aviemore!!!!!!! (newbies, please refer to the dramas of the summer when poor Odin failed to deliver his usual fishes)
Hey !! Annette, Teresa and one and all - a great big 'Thank you' to everyone who has encouraged me in my computer trauma :) PLease forgive me if I haven't mentioned you by name - it's been a hell of a few days. GOOD NEWS
I have Hibernate back in my Shutdown menu and my scrolling is back to normal. I've found a far better (free) Firewall (Comodo) and 'cleaning' program (Comodo) and after all the struggle I am back to normal. I even have spell check and thesaurus in Word ---------In UK English , that's a bonus ! Sighs of relief all round.
The only thing that is lacking is the information in all my 'blank' rectangles in Google Earth. I can live with it !!!!!! The important thing is I can go back to tracking Mallachie and Rothes and enjoy my computer again. Maureen I certainly hope your computer trials are over.
:) :) :) :) :) Rejoice with me !
Congratulations Cirrus:))) What a relief!
Thanks Lindybird, off to check out the Tesco's picture. Yes, looking forward to the update tomorrow..
Cirrus
Great news ... so glad you managed to beat the computer demons :))

Thank you Gary and DjoanS - now I'm champing at the bit for the next update.
Hallo all. Back from nice birthday brunch, which then morphed into "do you need help moving anything else?" to granddaughter. Turns out various beds, bits of furniture, did indeed need depositing with various friends, the local dump, our garage, etc., and now - thank you Cirrus! - glad of an excuse to have an early glass of wine to celebrate (ostensibly) your fixed computer, but mostly that I'm home again!
Auntie: In Southern California, we are 8 hours behind London and 9 hours behind Helsinki, so as I type, it's 4:05 p.m. here. on Sunday.
jsb: Tried that link to the program, and got some wonderful full-screen images but it started hanging up. Magnificent photography from what I did see - thanks! My sister, who still lives in the UK, says Scotland gets more beautiful the further north you go....
jsb: THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I just watched the first portion of Scotland Revealed on my computer (stv.tv). I so enjoyed it and can't wait to watch more. Not only that, I will probably check out the entire site's offerings. Yay!!!
Hey, Gary: I was surprised, but I could even watch the HD version. I have a DSL connection -- adequate but not super-fast. I clicked on the HD version of Scotland Revealed, even though I doubted that I'd have success. I watched the adverts. And then the player paused for about 20-30 seconds. I was just about to give up and switch to the standard version. But THEN the HD version began and it ran beautifully. The quality was spectacular. It was like my system just needed a few seconds to adjust. You may want to give it a try.
