I offered to start this Topic before my own trip to Scotland, so thought I'd better get on with it.
The idea - somewhere to bring together people's accounts of their visits, photos, useful information, questions from those planning a trip - a sort of scrapbook really.
I still need to write up my own visit, but anyone is welcome to post material or links here.
Tiger , what a wonderful account of your holiday up in the Aviemore area. Your breakdown on the way home must have been frustrating but hope it did not distract from what seemed to be a wonderful break. It certainlly sounds as if you were well fed.

Just looked up Leen's recommendation, on the blog, of the Potting Shed Tearoom at Inshriach Nursery - I'm only sorry I missed it, though I remember passing it.
It's on the road going SW from Inverdruie towards Feshiebridge - perhaps a convenient stop after a visit to Loch an Eilein.
Thank you both so much Chloe and Tiger, for sharing all about yor holiday this Summer.
Due to my Husband having hip surgery we won't be having a holiday this year :))
You brought lots of memories back from previous holidays we have had in the same places you went to...... although the eating places we didn't visit, as we were having evening meals back at our Guest House......but we did manage a few cakes here and there :))

Glad you enjoyed the account of our trip Lorraine. Sorry to hear you won't be having a holiday this year but hope your husband's hip surgery is a great success :)
I felt I should comment on here because this is a very good thread and I and no doubt all would love to hear about peoples visits to LG.
SUNSHINE mentioning Loch Mallachie reminded me of this thread!
This is what it is all about.

As you were nostalgically discussing Loch Mallachie in the GABFEST, here's a photo
