What will today bring?

Will Bynack toughen up and grab fish from big sis?

Will he fledge?

Watch this space!

  • Aww, so Bynack never made it off the nest? Ah well, tomorrow is another day....and hopefully not a stormy one!

He was doing some exercises earlier, but is now snuggled down for bed. I must be doing so too soon! Goodnight all.

Just bringing the fish report forward!  For Cirrus upon her return.

No disrespect to you, Cirrus, when you return, but don't you think, Hazel, we've managed reasonably well on the ID front today??!!  Between ALL of us who have posted I mean.

ChloeB - Cirrus always gets the ID right of Tore/Bynack and so therefore apparently she is relied upon.  I never used to be confused.  Now they have grown so much, the odd time I get confused.

  • Goodnight RtheB - thank you so much for your brilliant captures and commentary today :)

RthB  No the real bully was Stripe the chick at the back. Star could hand out lessons in the pecking order but Stripe was plain vicious. The most vicious chick I came across until we met Nethy in 2008.

Yes, most definitely, Stripe was always the villain of the piece.

  • ...and it's goodnight from me too. Let's hope tommorrow isn't as bad as they say it will be and Bynack gets his chance to shine.

  • Hi everyone :-)

Thanks for all the posts, pics, and vids.  Great stuff as always.  I wonder if Bynack will fledge tommorrow.  He's certainly been doing plenty of wingersicing.  Hopefully the weather will be okay for him to make his first flight.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

"All I need is a little more courage ... (and maybe an IrnBru)"

(I may have spelt that wrong?!)

Spot on Hazel with the IrnBru - I am sure he would be off if he had a wee tipple LOL...

Hope he goes tomorrow - can't be long now I think tomorrow or Sunday if its not too rainy....

I think Bynack is more entertaining to watch, his excitement is so infectious as he gets a little lift, he squacks away to himself, one of these lifts he will be sqaucking away into the distance ha ha....  I laugh to myself when I see him doing this, am I the only one, he makes you just love him to bits ha ha!!!   I hate to see him awake all by himself on the nest, I just wish he would go to sleep now.

  • Hi Heron77, not looking good according to jsb's weather report. Maybe he's missed his chance for a couple of days??  Who knows??  Only the Ospreys!

  • Have you all seen our latest stats? It does seem as if  Bynack is behaving pretty much like his predecessors. See   statistics

Bynack will be 53 days tomorrow.

If Bynack has an internet connection and is reading this he will be saying "Monday will suit me fine"  "Have you seen how far it is to the ground?"

  • So Tiger by following the statistics, when do you propose that Bynack will fledge then?
