Tore reaches 53 days today while wee brother Bynack is 48 days. So they are now both within the fledging window. Hopefully the weather will be kinder today. Will we see a fledge today? Probably not. The young uns have not been able to practice their flying skills enough, what with the very wet weather.
So whatever the day may bring.

Hello, Scylla. I must go to bed soon!
Suddenly gone very dark on nest?
Yes, then it lightened again :-?
Tore stayed down for 15 minutes! Bynack still down!! I've got it on video but it's long and boring ;-)
Tore has just, slowly, flattened again, I didn't hear anything.
Tore sat up a few moments ago, and then crept down to lie over Bynack - probably for mutual comfort.
EDIT: Scylla, I didn't hear anything either. she just suddenly got up, almost in her sleep.
Tore slowly rising:
But not for long, as Daisy Ray says - and she's still down, back to sleeping like a chick :-)
I think her wings were trembling having been stretched out and so still for 15 minutes, that her muscles couldn't cope any more.
EDIT: Thanks Scylla for that video. You can clearly see her wing muscles twitching/trembling just before she rises.
I'm off to bed now. Night, Scylla.
Goodnight again :-)

Actually, I heard the call twice in your video, and I recognize it as a warning call, once further away, and then once closer to the mike. Wonder what it was so late at night... right now it is raining, poor chicks, and they are both lying on the nest... yuck.
