Tore is entering her 52nd day today. Will she fledge?
Not convinced she is quite ready yet...but I have been known to be wrong :)
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
I feel miserable, I dunno how Tore can stand it . ..... wet, wet, wet
I think the parents referred to here www.bbc.co.uk/.../health-14080072 should take a leaf out of the osprey book, don't you?
Unknown said: Thing is , the juves just don't dice the fish up like EJ. They've gotta learn but I'm suprised EJ hasn't taken the fish over in the final analysis and fed them both. I've been a way awhile so is EJ still on the nest post or has she left the nest altogether?

I don't know, Cirrus. She may be there or may have flown away quietly. The rain has been very steadily falling for quite some time. My gut feeling is that she isn't there or I'm sure she would have flown down immediately Bynack got fed up with it.
Tore seems to be making an excellent job of the difficult tail bit.
EDIT: Except for the very last part!
Well, all gone!
Juvies just sitting there in the rain, looking miserable - especially Bynack, he's had his head down for about 10 mins!
EDIT: The pics I took would be excellent entries for the Headless Chick competition; pity I can't post them :-(

When is this rain going to stop, I agree Cirrus makes me feel depressed to see what the weather is throwing at them. The cant have dried out properly for days.

I wonder when young ospreys get their waterproofing oil? Maybe Bynack is getting wetter because he is younger....
Just logged on for the first time today to see that it is raining again at LG. Tore is staring into space and poor Bynack is trying to keep his head down out of the rain. Will catch up with the rest of the posts.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Just read back at all the earlier posts, some great commentary and fantastic captures.
Scylla - video of the tug of war, priceless
MaryGK - the link to Dyfi, so clear.
RtB - that video of the stick hitting, if looks could kill!!!!
Alan - thanks for the video of the last fish delivery, which was snatched from EJ, brilliant.
and all the rest of you for your pics etc , there's certainly been some action despite the weather.
At present it looks as if it is Bynack at the back of the nest and Tore must be to the rt.hnd. side off screen??
