A new day. It is day 50 for Tore today. Will she fledge today?
Personally I do not think so as it is still very early in the fledging window and young ospreys usually spend some time staring down before taking the plunge. No sign of Tore doing any staring yet.
I notice that there were 392 posts in yesterday's thread. That really is busy!

A lot to catch up on already, but super reporting of the days events so far.
Is it Tore looking down on the world and Bynack still filling up the corners and chirping away. EJ is also getting some of the fish.

My goodness what an exciting two days we have all enjoyed. I am so very sorry to have missed the events last night when Tore half-inched the fish and the very reasonable behaviour between Tore and Bynack. Thank you for the super snaps and vids. A wonderful record and a thread to keep in favourites!!
So we have had intruders this morning, when Odin also came to the nest.
and lots of peering over the edge

Bynack, taken about half an hour ago, looking over the top of the nest nearest the cam. At present EJ and Bynack closest to us with Tore at the back of the nest
Not sure what is happening but the two bairns came and laid flat on the nest as though there was an intruder about. EJ still looking outwards.
Lovely series of pics, Sheila
Thanks LYNETTE. Can you confirm that it was Bynack please? He looks as though he has Odin's 'Alice band'.
Just come back home and I notice that EJ is still eating her massive fish! No one else seems remotely interested in it!!

Hello Sheila. I think it is Bynack in foreground of your pic. He appears to have 47 on his ring.
Thanks Daisy Ray. I couldn't read the number, but I'm getting there with the head markings!
Having my coffee and catching up. Lovely portraits of Tore and Bynack for remembrance. Not a surprise to see EJ with a hulking rainbow trout (?) for breakfast that she is still snacking on and offering the odd bite to her chicks. (As Lindy says, it is to show Odin how it's done!)
@Barbara: I like SnapZPro - easy to use but costs ~$65 to capture video. If you want to watch LG using the Quicktime standalone player, you may need to download Flip4Mac to customize Quicktime to handle Windows Mediaplayer, and then enter this URL to open: mms://wms.carnyxlive.co.uk/abernethy
@Cirrus: For the close-up of Tore looking into the cam that Annette spoke about, I managed to get it while capturing her looking over the edge last night. The capture of EJ with her whale is wonderful. The nest is so calm right now, as everyone has had enough, and now she is at the tail end of it (pun intended).
