Daily Update (LG Nest) Friday, 8th July, 2011

A new day. It is day 50 for Tore today. Will she fledge today?

Personally I do not think so as it is still very early in the fledging window and young ospreys usually spend some time staring down before taking the plunge. No sign of Tore doing any staring yet.

I notice that there were 392 posts in yesterday's thread. That really is busy!

  • Testing to see if I can post a pic this morning.

  • Surprise , surprise that was much quicker this morning. ( If I hadn't pressed the wrong key to start with.

  • My pics still go on quickly Brenda - sorry folks, makes me feel guilty!

Short nap RtheB  !   wanting to sleep but able to do so is just so awful

Very nice night pics RtheB    and CC  , thank you

Ah colours up and our Scylla has posted some lovelly pics of tore

And gulp, CC has taken one of only one chick in the nest   !!!!!!

Scylla why not do the C: check and clean too  (not now it take about 2 hours in all but mine freed up zillions more free space and it corrects any windows errors that may have crept in over ages of installations  etc. )  - it may not help either BUT on the other hand  it may      ?    :) All my sympathies I assure you
You did get nice face shots of Bynack.

Oh yes, phew, still two chicks I see

Ah, Bynack is beginning to  lose his 'youthful' look. Looks a lot more mature now. O oh no waring but both doggo   in the nest. Get up guys it was only a bug on the lens.
Will post this bit and then carry on reading

SCYLLA: I'm sure you found Carnyx via Google, but just in case....

    www.carnyx.tv/.../Scotland.aspx

I'm finding the site very erratic: One post showed up immediately; the other (longer) one on Weekly Chat appeared not to load at all, but when I shut down the page and reopened it, there it was!

Dare I try to uploade a photo I just got (I'm sure Scylla has a video of it).  Well, no luck there. Sigh......    It was a wonderful close up of Star with her face in the camera.

Please keep trying until it happens ANNETTE   - pretty please  ?)

  • Well, there's Scylla's video of the ''Gazing at the ground''  syndrome

Little songbird encouraging Tore and Bynack to have a gander at the light aircraft flying over LG  - it keeps saying '''pst, pist::

Nice one of Tore on nest edge , Brenda

oh yes, Joan has a good one too

Oh look at Bynack go in Brenda's pic. Well done youngster
