Apparently the rings are not in sequence this year because they are using up some old stock. The metal rings put on the left leg in England and the right leg in Scotland are supplied by the BTO but I think that the Darvic rings are supplied by Roy Dennis but I am not 100% certain of that.

That's really interesting TIGER, and I know see that Darvic comes from Darvic PVC sheeting that the rings are made of. And so we continue to learn new things on this wonderful forum!!
Our Tweens are gettng soo excited with all their wingercising. Such beautiful squeals of delight. Oh dear, the rain has started.

As I put on the RW thread I spoke with the staff there on Saturday and they don't understand the system used to allocate ring colours and numbers. Paul made the suggestion that each country should have their own unique colour. There are then enough 2 digit combinations of letters/numbers to last a very long time.
Raining at LG, but that's not stopping some serious wing-flapping!
They really are going into overdrive wing exercising at the moment. Almost expect lift off at any minute.
Lots of buffering going on in the video stream and pixellation now, and the forum's been freezing too :(
Here's a sequence of "dual wingercising" before the buffering started.

Sone very grown-up squawks now!
Thank you SANDY, it is clearly a mysterious system! I rather like the idea of a county having a unique colour: it would make id'ing the birds for those who need to a much easier task.
Tore and Bynack don't need EJ to provide her umbrella wings to keep them dry any more.
Tore looking out over the edge very wistfully. Still flapping madly and saying to herself "I'm sure I can do it - maybe to-morrow"!!
EJ this morning.
