Thanks also Tiger, Scylla and ChloeB for the July 4 wishes (even though I was grew up in the UK and still think of England as "home").

First fish has just arrived - I bet Scylla has the video uploaded already!  I took a pic but it won't upload.......

Site seems just as slow from here - so won't be commenting unless it's critical - like someone has a feather attached to his antenna - looks rather dashing!

OK, the site seems only slow when you use the "rich formatting" option....

Well it's critical now cos I lost my connection and missed the fish entirely :'(

Annette, if you could possibly upload your pic to Photobucket all you need to do is post the http link (left-click it until is says "copied" in the drop-down box which you will see if you hover your mouse over the pic on Photobucket) in this Reply box.

I've never used Photobucket Scylla but I'll try now. Thing is, I left the Weekly Chat page uploading a straightforward post  that was taking AGES even without the rich formatting option.

This little video is nothing except a Gem pottering, but I've reduced the settings (willy-nilly, ignorantly) in my video converter which I use to cut down too-long recordings.  So let's see if it's watchable :)

Too jerky, so have increased a setting and re-uploaded.
