Welcome to a new week. Check back to last week's chat for news. Linda is spending weekend with Tomasz. Annette has been told to slow down . . . by Brenda who sounds just as busy! Alan has been wandering shops again.
latest test
here is Toffee from a few days ago, on "Moose", her new favourate toy:)
Thanks for all the comments about her. She is a sweetie.
Good to catch up with everyone's news.
Tiger, I see you have a tough literary critic to impress! lol
Alan, hope Hamish gets his trim soon.
Joan, glad you're feeling a little better
Brenda, love the turn of phrase about us "invading" LG. I think that may be right!
Annette, think the Russians are keeping the space station "manned" (Sure Tiger could tell us more) and I think "we" hitch a lift with them , for a large fee! I am going to LG for a couple of days so that should be fun.
Enjoyed everyone else's news/chat:)
one more while the site lets me..
Gary Is Tofee a golden retriever?
Oh I have had a new report on Opal and Poppy. Poppy is now getting on well with Opal. However Opal does not like people patting Poppy. Sorry no pics yet.

Just had a frustrating time online. I promised someone on another thread I would PM him with some photos. Couldn’t post on PM so put them in My Gallery (they are ones you have all seen before!). He asked how he could see my Gallery. Well, about a month ago, Terry asked how people would get to her Gallery to see photos and OH and I found a way. But tonight we just couldn’t work it out, so have put them on a different more public gallery and sent him links for them. Successfully tested here with sending to OH, so I hope they have worked for him too!
Now I am all behind and hot’n’bothered – and I had wanted to send you my week-old photos from the shore before some from today!
Och Weel, first things first! Thanks for good wishes for our day – it was brilliant! Heavy storm forecast for 1pm, but we met it nearer 11:30, before we even reached Dumfries. It appears to have been quite heavy here at home, so no need to water garden tonight. But where we went – near Kirkcudbright – stayed dry, hot and sunny all day. Didn’t see any of the big Dragonflies – I gather only one was seen all day – but high numbers of several different Damselflies. The series of ponds is in wonderful wildflower meadow – not much of that about these days – with the honey scent of Meadowsweet pervading everything. Loads of songbirds – including lovely Redpolls – and the big highlight were Ravens, Buzzards and Kites all in the air – WOW! Haven’t even looked at the photos yet!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I’m glad there are not so many posts to reply to today! AQ – should I understand from your post last night UK time that you are having problems? I hope it’s not a return of the virus or more severe knee problems – am thinking of you!
Gary – Miss Toffee is growing up, but still so beautiful – those eyes!! … And now another picture – still beautiful even with her eyes closed! And enjoying the sun on the deck – terrific.
Annette – sorry Thursday dinner recipe was not worth the bother – and then leftovers too – oh dear!
Cirrus – just been reading the Grandsons’ blog about the cycle ride – they arrived at Son’s flat for tonight after keeping well up to time today, so Peterhead tomorrow and the end of the ride. It’s funny reading their blog, because they are each contributing to it in such different styles!
Lindy– Son’s new voluntary thing is only one week, but it is experience back in his own field, and we’ll be interested to see how he copes with working with young people again – a week is more demanding than his few hours here and there at church stuff. I think the calmness of birds being ringed is part due to fear after netting and bagging, and part due to expertise of the ringers – I believe they hold the on their side to calm them, as when keeping domestic hens! I never get asked to sign in – but I also don’t sign out.
Alan – surely not another trip to the hairdresser for Hamish already? I hope your shopping activity today was relatively painless!
Joan – pleased you are on the road to recovery – but don’t do too much too soon!
QW – I know the power of prayer and will certainly be praying pray for Isidora and her family. Double well-done to your Grandson for the degree and the design award – you must be very proud of him.
Tiger – thanks for Opal and Poppy update – not surprised Opal is a bit jealous – I seem to remember she is quite young herself. Email from friends in Bolivia today – they have acquired a pet Monkey!
Just caught up with all the news.
Gary, Toffee is coming along nicely, he is gorgeoous.
Tiger - loved your first instalment, can't wait for the second on.
Hope everybody is OK and over any illnesses they had. Dibnib, hope everything is going OK with you.
Had a really nice day today, pottering about in the house during the day but going to a Hog Roast late afternoon at Church, well the local primary school grounds to be precise. Very nice too. Ended up back at our local cricket club for a late evening drink and came back and had some chips and wine , naughty, naughty, but so nice.
Daughter worked all day today getting folders up to date so deserved some time out. Popping out to our local Matalan and Hobbycraft centres for a bit of retail therapy tomorrow, giving church a miss.
OK, folks, goodnight and have a great Sunday.
