For those who didn't know Garten she/he was the littlest one and not tagged. But with a fighting spirit like this most of us believe Garten survived. She/he was not going to lose that fish! In this video it had only been flying a couple of weeks
Hello everyone, I've really enjoyed catching up.I certainly do wish I had not missed the drama Daisy - pity one can't be in two places at once, but it was great getting out of the city and into the hills all day. Wonderful thought that the intruder may have been bossy Garten.

Actually Daisy, I thought Eldest was female!! and youngest (as with Bynack ,) a boy. We'll never know of course :) It was good being right (with a lot of others ! ) about these Tweens though.
Scylla , really super videos today, the one posted at 4.30 was lovely of EJ even if Bynack was attacking her. And it's so nice to see Odin fly in and fly off again into the distance.
Oh, Barbara ... super video of White TF, no misaking him for one of EJ's and Odin's. I remember him really upsetting Mallachie after Garten had left.
Thanks for that video. Wow, that was really something else - I wonder how many hits there were to the head on that attack. I'm glad Garten had already fledged...

Hello CC, not met you before. Yes, indeed, it would have gone badly for Garten had she not been able to leave the nest.
Thank you so much for that clip Barbara Jean. I often wonder what became of Garten but am sure he/she is out there.
Have been away for ten days and could'nt believe my eyes when I looked in today and saw these beautiful ospreys who are almost as big as EJ. Amazing how much they have changed in so short a time.
cirrus I don't believe White TF was an EJ /Odin off-spring. Just an intruder. The center said White TF was a female . Garten however got her/his Mother /Father's fighting and survival genes LOL
It is awfully quiet on the nest! Do you think EJ has gone fishing for a whale? Or maybe she's just sitting in the tree, keeping watch for Odin bringing in the supper!
