Weekly Chat Sunday 26th June

Hi folks, thought I'd start us off.

Not much to report but I managed to master posting videos on the Daily Update today.

Have packed my case, just got to do OH's today and pack the car up tonight ready for the early morning start on Monday.

Will have a lot to catch up on when I get back but hope all goes well with you all and thinking of you TerryM, OH, and the funeral this week.

Take care all, God Bless.

  • TRISH  So glad that Mias earsare recovered. It is always so upsetting when our animals are under the weather.

  • Brenda – there you are, telling Annette to slow down, and you did so much yesterday yourself that I got tired reading about it!  How lovely that friend is sharing his garden produce – I would never aspire to shows with mine, but love to eat them fresh from the ground.   You are lucky to live near all the wonderful gardens of Sussex and Surrey.  Great Dixter is one I would have liked to see – I hope you are having a lovely day there – any chance of photos on here?

Dibnlib – thanks for email – will be replying – eventually!

Off to eat my daily quota of lettuce!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • I was mistaken about the time, OG.  It is not until 6pm, when all the visitors have left. It is only our local horticultural society show. We only have to walk up the road to Great Dixter. I will take the camera.

Thanks, Brenda.  I hope that your friend's carrots do well, and that you enjoy the evening.

  • Afternoon all,

Thanks for all the earlier chat.

Today we went to Stamford for a wander around the shops as we often do on a saturday. Lots of people about and a nice sunny day with temps around 20c. Managed to get some nyger seeds from Wilkinsons at £1.79 per kg. Came home for lunch and took Hamish out for his walk and now watching the tennis.

I was a bit disappointed that Andy Murray did not sustain his first set form but Nadal was the better player after that.

Kvitkova deserved her win over Sharapova who was not consistent enough on her serve.  Dont usually enjoy the womens matches but I have this year.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
