Weekly Chat Sunday 26th June

Hi folks, thought I'd start us off.

Not much to report but I managed to master posting videos on the Daily Update today.

Have packed my case, just got to do OH's today and pack the car up tonight ready for the early morning start on Monday.

Will have a lot to catch up on when I get back but hope all goes well with you all and thinking of you TerryM, OH, and the funeral this week.

Take care all, God Bless.

  • Golly. Sorry all. Only just realised I posted 'Super Peepers' on the wrong thread  :(

Yes I was wondering if that was the case.

  • Oh gosh, I see I've been posting all sorts of posts on the wrong threads, sorrry!! too many tabs  :(

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Margo love, you really have been in the wars. I am so very sorry. The very last thing you needed after all that was bad news about your sister. I just hope that the visit to the Isle of Wight and the family get together proves a really happy time and bucks your sister (and you) up in no uncertain manner.

Oh, golly. PCs. You need to know a ''chap'' . I've got one called Chak.  Being self employed he's motivated to  do the job! Companies ? Well. I so hope you get proper satisfaction out of PC World and that very  very soon.
Don't you dare be concerned about individual replies  !!!!  Recuperate, de stress and do as much relaxing as you can. We can all wait. Just get properly well.

  • Afternoon all,

Thanks for all the earlier chat and pics and glad that Margo is back with us.

Spent the morning at Rutland Water as the day started off nice and sunny. It has gone cloudy now but still dry. Quite a cool day though and cold in the hide with the wind coming off the water. Managed to see 5R and Mrs 5R and the chicks. You can see them above the nest rim now. Discovered that the distance from the hide to the nest is 266 metres today as the person I was talking to had a range finder on his camera which had a lens like the Dartford tunnel. Also found out that the chick that was put into the site O nest with the other 3 is doing well.

Site has gone slow so here is a pic of a Little Egret I took today:

  • Thanks Cirrus  must admit I am feeling rather low but looking forward to seeing my sister on Suday where I am sure we will have a good day with the whole family.  I really wish we knew someone reliable to help out when PC decides to do it's own thing but can assure you PC World have not heard the last from us yet.

Just went out in the garden to find that a sparrowhawk must have visited, a pile of feathers on the lawm and it looks like one of the young sparrows got caught.  I know they have to eat but it still upsets me.

I will recuperate and de-stress I am sure and I am just doing what I have to at the moment.  A little bit of housework each day and keeping up wth the washing at least.

  • Afternoon Tiger  it is good to be back after a very stressful time with PC and illness.  I feel as though I have missed so much this year.  So glad I went to LG at least I have that to look back on.

So good to see you back Margo. What an awful time you have been having.

You really didn't need all the computer problems on top of that horrendous chest infection. Might be an idea to get a spare laptop, ideal for when things go wrong with the main PC. I have several :)

Thanks  ChloeB good to be back in the loop again.  Have so missed our ospreys over the past week.  I will have a word with OH about another laptop, not sure he will agree to that at the moment.

  • Margo, I am so happy to see you back. I did wonder when it was mentioned that you didn't sound too good when you were at LG, whether you should have seen a Dr. then. Nobody would expect individual replies from you. Anyhow the ospreys will have migrated by the time you caught up :-) Sorry about your computer. Mine is being taken away tomorrow, but I am able to use my OH's. Very sad news about your sister having yet more problems but a family ' get together' on the IoW sounds a great idea. Hope that you all, will manage to enjoy yourselves. Make sure you rest and relax.

  • Good afternoon Brenda and thank you.  It all started with a sore throat which I thought I could cope with but quickly turned into something else.  I got so cold at tines especially on night shift and that probably didn't help.  Despite what has happened I am so glad I did it but if I go to LG again it will probably be on holiday.  Must admit I found the shift pattern very tiring.  Eating and sleeping was a problem to do properly.  Not complaining in any way though it was just amazing to see what I have watched on the webcam for the past 3 years.

  • Kvitova has beaten Azarenka. Sharapova now playing Lisicki. We have avoided a very noisy final between Azarenka and Sharapova.
