Ha! Longest day of the year. Will be back around 9 our time - have book club at my house tonight.
EJ is calling Odin between bites. "Hey this one is almost gone get another one in a hurry!"
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
They finished the fish and EJ was yelling at Odin to get another fish . I just saw him fly past the nest on his way to the fish farm LOL Poor guy he doesn't get 10 minutes rest
She doesn't sound very pleased as the fish didn't last long. All seem to be looking for more and Storm not happy! EJ takes off again. But back soon.
Fish didn't last long. EJ is taking her frustration out on the big stick. Now flown off. And back.
Interesting re ringing: I wonder if that means they aren't going to track them this year? I'm sure the idea last year was that they would keep the tags and use them this year, but it seems a bit early - they have to be as nearly full grown (and hence close to fledging) as possible, hence the problems last year.
Did you pick up anything while you were there, Margo?
Rachel Nothing was mentioned re tracking them and stupidly I didn't think to ask. Like you I thought they were going to use last years devices this year.
Well last year the center wasn't generous with the information about ringing them either. We just kept wondering if/when they planned to do it. It was a very rainy period and the first we knew they were not going to ring or tag them was the day before Eldest fledged .
I would think they would at least try to ring them , but who knows
EJ is gone or out of sight again. I wonder if she is mad enough about the tiddler to go fishing
EJ definitely flew off. Star was watching something off to the right (as we see them) earlier, so I suspect at least one parent is in the camera tree.
Maybe she and Odin are having a quiet breakfast alone together while the kids are sleeping!
