Ej not happy as last three fish little more than tiddlers. Hope Odin has one in his larder  for a midnight feast. I'm off to bed in case I ruffle anymore feathers.An old friend used to tell me"you only open your mouth to change feet" She was so right.

Hi everyone.

Heaps of thanks for all the great updates, and fantastic pics.  Great to have sound back on the LG cam and Odin bringing seven fish makes the smile this side of the laptop, even broader.  Great to see Star and Storm, growing at roughly the speed of a Stuckie heidin straight for a fat-ba'.  Don't worry.  Translation to follow ;-)

I'm amazed she has them almost totally covered.  I mean they fall into the category of humungus chicks now :-)

Not had time to come on today as my builder was in doing furniture making from flat pack so have been extremely busy. Will catch up soon.

See one of the GEMS keeps stretching its wings etc. All seem restless could it be the weather.

Just managed to catch up, thanks for the updates and fantastic captures.

Will try and look in a bit more tomorrow.

Hazel   Good to see you got the quote ok.  Oh they  do stay fairly close to the nest until they migrate. They are always present on the nest when food is expected. There are usually spectacular  fish fights. I imagine there should be some good ones this year. Here are some stats from previous years.

Thank you Tiger. I think I've digested the stats correctly!?!  Upshot- keep watching! (fledging - last seen).  Ringing/tagging may happen any day soon!  Surely 'they' will ring and maybe tag this year?  (Given  Rutland Water's most horrible happenings).  Having only just discovered that Rutland Water exists, it is max. just about an hour and a half drive from me - so just on my doorstep- will be going one weekend very soon ...
