Daily Update (LG) 8th June 2011

Thanks to Cirrus, Alex and Lynette  for some good captures.  Could hear those lttle eating noises but was away from PC so missed the actual feed.  So quiet on the cam with no wind and EJ now sheltering her chicks although it won't be much longer before she will not be able to cover them properly.  Seem to have turned into GEM's much quicker this year.

Thanks for keeping us updated and for all of the excellent captures. Has there only been one fish so far today?

Think that was the second fish today, Woodpecker, as there was one just before 8.00 am this morning.

I've been nearly in tears wondering where everyone was :o :o  Started a new thread in desperation - first time I'd ventured, might have known...  However, I cannot see this thread, no matter how many times I click on Forum or refresh - see? there's only my rogue thread here:

Never mind, scylla - you've sorted it now. Don't quite know how you've got the wrong list - have you refreshed the page where the Forum list is?

Cirrus, I'm quite sure it was headless

scylla so sorry you have been driven to tears just about, but you are with us now.  This current set up is quite new to us anyway and it took me a while to find my way round, especially as the changed happened while I was away for a few days.

Just been studying the nest and can see how much it has been built up just in front of where EJ is sitting.  She obviously keeps an eye on those chicks when they start to wander around and knows exactly where to put fortifications.  What a treat it is without the wind as howling round as well.

You need to click on "All Recent" at the top; you've currently got "Your discussions" selected, so you're only seeing threads that you've taken part in so no new threads will show.

Scylla - just a basic thought:   When you went to start a new thread, did you click on     NEW POST?  

Alex, many thanks for the observation re a headless fish. I'm so glad Odin has his share, bless him.
