Dawn is breaking, but it looks very foggy. It must have gotten cold after the rain
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Thanks Barbara and Annette for such a long night, nest watching. That was a long wait for the first fish.
Unknown said: I guess - hope - we'll find out the genders soon (when will they ring them?). I don't remember (well over the last couple of years) any of the chicks being so precocious..... And yes, Odin is late; lighting is pretty as the sun comes through those trees though... This is lovely Annette - worthy of putting on a mug. Thank you.

what a lovely video Scylla
Incidentallly, the chick calling though is Storm !! Star shoved her out into the cold, taking up all the room under EJ !!
Now to catch up
Morning. A lovely pic of our dear EJ on the nest, by Annette. All rather quiet now, as they wait for Odin to return - I see that there have not been a lot of fish yet, today, but it should be a good day for fishing as there's not much wind to ruffle the water.
E takes off and they are Home Alone -
---- now she's back !!
"Wotcha Doing, Mum?"
Abselitly beautiful pic by Annette , colours are amazing.
Morning all and thanks for all the earlier commentary and pics. Not surprised that Odin has been having difficulty fishing. All that rain must have stirred up the sediment in the rivers and made seeing the fish difficult. More heavy showers forecast for later today. Valgall also commented that her male had been unable to catch any fish and was worried for the chicks.
Lovely ghostly misty capture Barbara !
Thank you both, Barbara and Annette for early posts and pics
Thanks Alex for feeding pic and for the family group Barbara(I can understand you being worried about Odin !!) so thankful all is well
Thanks for capturing your pic Joan and Lindy 'Wotcha doing mum' is a good shot too.Brenda very low when I went over yesterday. Pains in chest which doc has indicated something about which I couldn't really understand from Brenda's explanation. Going over on Thursday with lunch. Have to admit I came back feeling low myself. My dear long standing friendis just not what she used to be and I can't bear the thought of her going into a home of any sort. Her carers don't seem to care !!I'm not a family member so I don't always know what's going on . (sorry this is Chat material)
Anyway, a miseable day here is beginning to brighten and the nest looks positively wet to me!!EJ now perching on right, often just out of sight. To flat out chickees currently
