Just to say that Margo's plane landed about 15 mins early at Inverness and she is on her way to LG with Wendy.

Thanks rosiemac - I've just been thinking about her!

  • Hope the packing goes well for OG today - there's always more to think about than at first appears, with packing...  Have a lovely holiday, and tell us about it after, OG.  (By the way, that poppy is "Patty's Plum" - always my mum's favourite, and now one of mine, too)

Tiger-  Thanks for the link to see Lima feeding those amazing chicks yesterday.

Alan:  Going to Google about the Black something butterflies, they sound very special.  What a pity you just missed them.  I go shopping for 'stuff' too - it must be catching!

Cirrus:  Hope that Brenda is better now, and that you have managed to sort something out for your Friend - you are good to her.

Diane:  You seem to have many thunderstorms - glad you're OK and enjoying your wasp family.  Can see those poor bunnies under the car so clearly! - wish we knew what they were thinking!  Off to look at your latest link, now.

Welcome to Flashsadie on here. Another member with Ospreyitis!

  • Just imagining the "ooooh"s and "aaaah"s as Wendy drives Margo over Dava Moor and down into Grantown!  Then her first sight of the Spey - and the Cairngorms - and Abernethy Forest - and Loch Garten - and then the Centre and the Nest!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • They will be there by now. Can imagine the excitement!

    • HEATHER    Used to enjoy pop concerts but not out in fields. When you look at the prices Tesco charges for tents, sleeping bags etc I am not surprized everything gets left behind. Hope whoever does the clearing up recycles it properly. Friend made me laugh when she said they do not care about the weather as I remember one of her daughters arriving back in the middle of the night last year, thoroughly fed up with the rain. so far so good this year.   We laughed a couple of weeks ago when we saw on facebook a road report from MFR (for others it is our lacal radio station ) As far as they were concerned there had been an accident at the "doors" roundabout. Again for others it is "Dores" after a bit of derision it was taken off and 2nd time round Spelled correctly but no capital.   Again for others Dores is where Rock Ness is held.
  • WENDY  If Margo gets to see Badgers,  I am sure she will think it worthwhile the "inCONVIENIENCE". Sorry, couldn't resist.

  • Just had a message from Wendy to say theyhave arrived at LG. I expect she'll be on later to tell you all about it!

  • Oh dear. Dunno what happened there as I definitely deleted my post that was intended for Daily Update. !  Weird. Sorry everyone. Can't have a second go as delete button no longer active.

  • Dibnlib I will have to back track and have your account of your RAF experiences on screen when OH gets back from the allotment.  I think he'd love to speak to you about it all.  The day before we go on our holiday to Nethybridge he and his brother are off somewhere (can't remember where) to see all the planes coming in for the airshow that weekend.  We did go a couple of times to the airshow in Jersey when we were on holiday there.  Seeing the Harrier 'bow' over the sea was one of the best bits for me.

Sheila thanks for your holiday story, sounds like you had a great time in spite of some iffy weather.

Wendy Im looking forward to hearing how Margo reacted to her first look at the magical area!
