Flat out chickees (now to watch your video RtheB ... I note the wind has risen. Rats ! )
All alone for a bit, but too full to care.....
Now EJ has returned, and its raining, so all under the Mum umbrella.
Where are Star and Storm putting it all seems like a never ending supply of fish at the moment. Odin is certainly living up to his name of Odin the Magnificent. Thanks for all captures and a lovely run from RTB. That b----- rain is coming down yet again.

I wonder if EJ thinks about removing the unhatched egg... seemed to me she looked at it particularly often in the last hours
Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.
Yet more feeding. Those 2 chicks will go bang soon.

Cirrus, Lindybird, RTB thanks for your comments, yes I will be on holiday, WC Scotland. At the beginning of May we were up at Gruinard Bay, and stopped at Grantown for a few nights so we could make our first ever visit to RSPB Loch Garten, I loved it, and can't wait to fit in another visit when the chicks get a bit bigger. I was well pleased as we saw the wee red squirrels too, and some other birds at the feeder at LG, so it made for a great start to our trip up to Gruinard Bay. Have been going up there for years and don't get a TV reception so have spent years of sitting with the bino's looking for birds for entertainment, was really lucky this year as we saw a great variety of birds in the bay eg: Green Shank, 2 Whimbrells, Heron, Red Breasted Mergansers, Black Tailed Godwit, Great Northern Diver, Black Throated Diver, Terns, Sand Pipers, and the more usual birds like Dunlins, Ringed Plovers, Oyster Catchers, Cormorants, Green & Goldfinches, but the icing on the cake was when a Sea Eagle flew right above us, circled around for a while then headed up the coast, got a great view of it, saw it again later in the week but not as close. Saw two otters in the bay too, have seen them before in previous years, was told by one of the locals that the Post Lady was up one of the small roads in her van when 5 otters crossed the road in front of her, now that I would LOVED to have seen.
Anyway looking forward to following the progress of the two chicks into adulthood then the migration, I find it fascinating the whole migration process, these are amazing birds, can't wait to find out where Rothes is now.
Cheers Mary
