I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

Chloe at the time I felt like it was the biggest disaster ever, now like you say its a chance to get something new and learn about different things. However if I hadnt had my files backed up then it would have been a disaster, so this is a lesson to be learned that we must back up every day. I see there is something called Sky Disc, has anyone used it, looks like its something like the Cloud that Tiger talks about.

Tiger it was always on my mind about getting something newer, but whilst everything was working fine you dont like to go out and buy new equipment for the sake of it. So now the "disaster" has presented an opportunity to go and try something completely different, and I am quite looking forward to seeing what it can do. Already I can see even from the Laptop how fast it is and the difference from XP is humungous lol, and cannot wait to get the PC now, as I cannot prise the laptop away from hubby while he is playing with it, and he was the person that said he didnt want a new one LOL....

So how is the new PC?
Not got it yet Tiger maybe Monday, but been playing with Windows8 on the laptop and I like it, very clever, and so swift, and just click/touch a tile and you are back to desktop with icons, you can flick between the two so easily. Discovering all sorts of goodies to play with LOL...
Not having Windows 7 or even seeing it function I am not sure what you are used to. Anyone that loves seeing the latest news there are tiles on the home screen that run the latest news items like a little TV LOL.... I have already deleted some of them, one news paper is enough for me, but they had the Guardian, The Mail, and something else all with news feeds. Does Windows 7 do this.
Test
The above was a test to see if I could directly copy and paste the above image from SkyDrive account to here but couldn't. Works by inserting it via a link though. Interesting.
