I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Firefox 28 - still can't use it for rich formatting:
Quoting some of Chloe's post above, wanting to add screenshot of bare box but there are no formatting options or upload box etc:
And on the right-hand side there's no expansion corner, though the box will expand as you fill it up with text.
Can't understand how others can use Firefox and I have not been able to for about 2 years :o

Two posts on the subject of photos.
Birdies LG DU update.
The problem is that it is just not only a problem of loading photos. The whole system is virtually unusable.

No I don't, Doggie. I wonder if I have an add-on that's causing the problem, but I don't have any add-ons that I don't need so there's nothing to be done about that.
However, I am now, at this very moment, using Comodo IceDragon browser, and it's fine... so far... I haven't clicked the Post button yet ;-) It is said to be a very lightweight browser, and I like separate browsers for groups of "tasks", so I could keep it for RSPB and any webcams that I want to download with Jaksta (which downloads the stream a bit like VLC but it doesn't display at the same time as it records, so you need the nestcam site to be open in a tab to see what's going on. Also, if the webcam's server goes down, the download will stop, but if I use auto-refresh every 5 minutes, say, then Jaksta will sense the stream's recovery and start downloading again.
And I digress, yet again. Here goes with the Post button.
There ya go! After a considerable wait, but no worse than any other browser. I've got an idea re FF's non-performance now.
Ben, Thank you very much for the update and our thanks to Maurice and all those involved in trying to sort this and other issues.
