I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

I have no idea where the clipboard lives. All I know is how I can retrieve the contents when I want to.
Have you managed to copy that text to your clipboard?

I've done the highlight and copy bit but I cannot,at the momemt, find Clipboard. Just exploring windows help !.

Now I open a new post
I choose the point where I want to inset the contents of the clipboard and use a right click at that point. A menu will come up and one of the options is <paste> you click this and the contents of the clipboard is pasted into the post like so

Well assuming you are using a PC you now right click that highlighted area and a menu comes us. One option is Copy and you click this. The highlighted text is then copied to a store on the computer called a Clipboard. You mean like this

You have just copied that via the clipboard?
