I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

So you are saying that you have difficulties making posh links?
So when you want to sat Richard's latest blog is here
That is your difficulty?
Tiger, Just read your link back to teaching. Am I muddling Posh Links ie; substituting the url for other words ie: Here/ This Page etc with rich formatting?. I can do rich formatting as you have done and I can post a url. It's simply replacing the url with 'Here'or T'his page' etc that I can't get.

I do not know what you know or do not know unless you tell me.
As I understand it you can do a post link if you type it in but not if it is too long and complicated to type? Is that right?

So how about telling me step by step how you are trying to do it?
You summed it up correctly but our posts may have crossed.
That's what I was trying to do BUT the site deleted some of my script. I am used to typing [ then = then url and then pasting the full url and closing the bracket with ] I would then type Here or This page as you did and then type [/ followed by Url ] I actually wrote that without the script in my earlier post but 'the site' removed it!.

So it is most likely that putting the URL into the dialogue box which is where it is going wrong?
I assume that you can copy a URL from the adress bar to your clipboard?

Yes but you must forget what happens on other sites. Over on the Wildlife Village I have got to use raw HTML
