I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

Scylla I think that what is happening is that you are saving the data in Notepad format and GE is not going to read that.
I think that the way forward is to learn to write your own KML files.
Not sure how to do that but it must be able to be done.
When you have done that you have cracked it.
I should be a case of copying the required data (Ceulan's) from the Dyfi kml file.

That is what I was thinking. But you got to get your own KML file up and running.
Scuse my missing T above. Since the Dell engineer revealed the crumbs under my keyboard when he replaced the faulty (NOT dusty!) fan, I've taken to using a protective silicone sheet again.
scylla, what a frustrating struggle you are having. Good luck with it. I don't have GE on my Android (Motorola Motoluxe) but might give it a try if only to experience the problems you are facing.

Thank you for trying DOGGIE :-) Not that I would have been able to follow iPhone procedure. My brother has a new iPhone (not #5) but I doubt he'd let me play with it ;-)
How come we have spent so long without anyone suggesting this little trick?

Tiger JSB If I zoom to 150 or 200% it easily fills the screen.

Yes, Ctrl++ or Ctrl+++, hold down Ctrl.
Tiger, yes I use that shortcut, but it doesn't work for everything for some reason that I don't understand!

I may be on the wrong wavelength, but my method for controlling zoom levels on GE is to scroll the mouse-wheel to and fro, then left click on the screen to fix at the desired level.

I do not think we are necesarily talking about GE. We are talking about Windows in general.
