Technical Test Thread

I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.

I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.

Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

  • To solve the problem of page 3 and 5 (I think) your may need TboL  tutorial

  • What's wrong with getting past page 3 and 5 Tiger?  My head is going round in circles now following your links LOL.  And since we're on page 58, how did you remember the page 3 and 5 problem?  What a memory!  Can you remember what page tutorial of "how to reply to posts is on" LOL.

Now you're changing the rules Tiger - 20 videos!  LOL.  Oh, have another question on "how to" ... almost forgot.  For the life of me I can't figure out how to "reply" to a post.  Just like you have done above.  Might you be kind enough to teach me?  Would love to learn how to do it ...

Well there is a <quote> in the left hand corner. Click it and it happens

Tweety Pie I am laughing here as you have no idea how many times Tiger has given the instructions how to embedd replies, I think that is a higher quality to possess not the ability of how to teach someone but the patience to do it over and over again.

Well it is never going to be taught again as it is now in my Sig!

As I said before I feel like a primary school teacher. I get people started and then they race ahead. Teaching is not about imparting knowledge it is about getting people over the psychological barrier. It helps if it is a great thrill to impart new skills.

The key is not to care whether people get it or not. A pupil has enough problems without worrying about any problems the teacher might have.
