I have decided to start this thread for discussing technical issues that come up rather than messing up the other threads.
I guess the first issue seems to be pasting Word text into posting boxes.
Recently we have had three threads lockup up as a result of posts involving Word text.

Well then this sounds incredibly like your problem.
Tiger. I have asked the technical team and they are baffled at present. I checked out the link you kindly put up BUT having got to the final stage it said. 'Do not do this unless your system is unstable' which it is not. As this appeared to be connected with 'Add ons' I went to the next stage and checked that out. System is running without any add ons so that seems to rule that out. The second answer also indicates that had I used the Reset facility I may have caused myself more problems! Frustrating or what?!
Birdies LG DU update.
Mike It may well be an add on problem. Have you tried running IE will no add ons?
See if that solves the problem. If it should then you bring the add ons back one by one until you find the offending one.
Tiger. Yes as I said above I've checked that I'm running with no 'add ons'. My wife shares this computer so we have just tried on 'her' side and indeed on her netbook and all videos appear but as far as we know the main settings are no different. Clearly there is a tick box somewhere that is stopping things on 'my' side!.
Mike Have you done all the other things?
For example what % of you hard drive is used?
What % or memory is in use when running programmes?
Have you tried logging in from a different computer?
I still strongly feel that it is somehow memory related.
Of course another possibillity is a virus?
Sorry if I am repeating myself but these things can be so frustrating.
At last I have solved the problem of linking to a single post.
You click the hyperlink containing the date and time of the post. Then copy the address from the address bar and this is the link to the single post.
Then just post it into a post like http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/placestovisit/lochgartenospreys/f/915/p/70029/459801.aspx#459801
or using a posh link
I particularly enjoyed finding that post as I had been loking for it a long time.
Just trying something out.
Love this from yesterday. Sandra's shot of sleeping EJ.
EDIT. It works, cheers Tiger :)
Loch Garten stats. and All the important links for LG.
Thanks Tiger.
Right clicking the date/time hyperlink and choosing 'copy shortcut' will also give you the URL of the message you want.
