Hi, all. Welcome to a new week!
Someone sent me these rather good images. I will post a few of them.
Tiger Signature
Hello. A bit dull again, here, but then its not raining, so can do more laundry - hurray!
Laughed at the thought of OG's 'sparrows with moustaches' as they do do that, don't they?
Tiger: Laughed at the pics, some I have seen before, but love the one with the motherly chicken!
Annette: don't be fooled, I can be grumpy with the best of them. But true to some of Tigers philosophy, I do try not to get too upset about the 'things you cannot change'.
My Friend rang yesterday to say that she had had a nice trip down to A & E yesterday - she had gripping pains in her chest & stomach, and was so scared that they called the ambulance service - they ruled out a heart attack, but whisked her to the Emergency just in case, where it was decided after some prodding that she had gall bladder trouble - maybe a stone being passed. Terrible pain, she said to me - but it did eventually pass, and they let her go home and now has to attend yet another clinic to investigate it. She has had a calendar full of clinics and dressings appointments since her operations, so is now back in the loop for some more.
Must go wash my horrid hair, and then walk to the s'market - OH is off playing golf today so is packing his umbrella.
Tiger: words fail me on the fantastic quality of those wonderful Pale Male pics. Just been to look at them and am always fascinated at the persistence of this photographer.
Tiger those pics are just hilarious.
We haven't heard from Valmc lately have we? I do hope all is well on her nest.
Tiger, those are brilliant.
OG and Lindybird, I know they need regular congregations and the one at Worsley has grown old with no young people attending, such a shame, but hopefully as it is used by the wider community they may rally round and try and obtain it to use as a community centre. I certainly hope so it would be a shame to close it completely, but only time will tell. Found out the last services are at the end of September, 1st week in October so hope to go up for one of them and say a fond farewell.
OH has gone over to Upppingham to umpire a Festival match there, I think its current team vs old boys but not quite sure, Dau has gone away for the wk/end so it just leaves me on my tod. Going to get my breakfast now, back later.

Just looked at the link for Pale Male - those captures are fantastic, Tiger, and what a miracle after so many years of being barren.

Yes she tweets on twitter. The eggs at her nest are due to hatch soon.
I shall be taken up with company today even though Sharon and I have decided to ditch our hike. I'm not too upset after a whole week of 11 or 12 mile daily hikes on Dartmoor !! Terrain has temporarily had its day for me and it's so cold here and wet. It was Sharon's decison.
And I haven't had time to go back 24 hours on Chat but the first things that hit my vision on clicking on ''latest post'' was, Oh yes, Tiger's friends photos. What absolute gems. Thanks so much for sharing them Tiger. And now I'm off to the Pale Male site and thanks for making it easy with the link.
EDIT just got back from a gander at Pale Males family. Gob smacking pics. Fancy being able to look at ''that'' from your living room window !!!! A Red Kite on your railing !!
Oh dear, Lynette, I am so sorry to hear about the old chapel. Sounds like a piece of our heritage is going down the tubes and so many memories for you personally.
Fingers crossed for you Diane and I hope one day an Osprey will mob an Eagle (even though they are quite a bit bigger. We have Crows mobbing Eagles, don't we.
harris Hawk flight Trish I 'm sure you are looking forward to that. Quite an adventure too.
Staggering OG. Such lovely landscpe and all from a quarry ! We can always 'up' the font size if we wish OG. Just keep 'em coming :)
Just gotta start from this morning now or Sharon will be upon be before I can say 'knife'
Your friend has been through a lot of turmoil Lindy. That kind of pain is absoluteyl awaful.
Think I've caught up reasonably. Hello to everyone I've missed. I hope your Saturdaay goes well.
