Hi, all. Welcome to a new week!

  • Trish2 Agility training went well, thank you, after last weekend's fiasco of 4 runs, 4 E's!  Will have to try harder on Saturday,  Didn't get anything fixed up (OH resistant) so have had to cancel our holiday.  I'm more or less reconciled to it now.

  • Diane You're in my prayers.  Keep safe and come back to us soon.

Hi everyone. So pleased to hear that all you bloggers across the pond are OK. Puts my problems into perspective. Two previous days have been awful but my house is still standing even if the veg plot has been decimated. The worst was finding a dead swallow in the garden. As yet I haven't been able to find out if it is one of 'my' pairs, but I lay some blame on the neighbour's cat as I am frequently chasing it from the garden and outbuildings. Some respite today as it isn't so windy. Thanks for all the updates. Happy anniversary, Tiger. Happy holidays, Gary. Stay safe everyone.

PS. I can't seem to get the clock to work on the still camera. It sticks on the time I access it. Any tips?

I am SO sorry to hear about your veg plot and even more about the swallow. Oh dear oh dear. Hope babes are not reliant on it. I really do trust your weather forecast is stable for the rest of the summer !!

The Still cam clock has never refreshed for me. I always have to refresh the page to change the time. Sorry. I'd be very glad to hear if there is a solution, I just didn't think there would be.

  • quitetwoman glad to see your house is still standing but what a shame about the veg plot.  Very sad about the dead swallow, I have to say that the new addition to our family Billie the cat shows no inclination whatsoever to chase after birds but I do keep an eye on her when she is out in the garden.  Hope the respite from the weather continues for you.

  • Trish 2  I agree very good practice for LG although I am not sure I will do night shifts looking through the info sent to me.  It would seem my latest shift would end at 10.pm.  I think we are very lucky to have Billie as our pet now, never thought it would happen and I am so happy that she will not have to suffer winter weather this year.

ChloeB Belatedly (I was out last night) - thank you.  I oftern have things on the toolbar, just didn't connect them with 'tabs'!

Hi patriciat, the 'things' you have on your toobar are not necessarily 'tabs'. You have to create tabs by opening/creating new ones which contain the webpages you want. If you hold down Ctrl whilst clicking a link it should open in a new tab. Then do the same again for another and another. You will now see a row of tabs in the toolbar. The bit you see in the toolbar is a tab. Clicking on the tab opens that specific page. Otherwise you can click the little square next to a tab or press Ctrl+T and a new blank tab will open, you can then click a link and make new tabs that way.

  • Chloe - I'm trying to take that in, as I'm not techie either!

Found this today, its a lovely film of an Owl & Cat playing together - try

--- if it won't work (sometimes my links dont seem to )  try searching on YouTube for "Cat & Owl Playing"

  • Cirrus - was looking back & saw your questions - the link to Carnyx was by harelady, and is on Page 19 of this thread - and it works!  Thanks, harelady!

If you missed the TV news, there was a story about an all out alert for a Tiger on the loose in the countryside the other day, & when they finally found it, it was a stuffed toy (life size!)   I'm sure that our Tiger is just as cuddly!

Annette:  Forgot to say, glad that the Whale count was good this year - I do so admire them, they are amazing creatures. Can't believe that your saga of the faulty TV has gone on for so long - hope its sorted soon.

margo - Its been so moving to hear the story of your befriending of little Billie, and such a happy ending, too, with you all together and Billie settled at last.

  • I've just been entertained by a wood pigeon having a bath in the bird-bath on the patio ... at one point he almost fell asleep lying in the water!

    ... oooops ... just spotted a weed ... ignore it please!     :-)))

  • Lindbird Billie has moved me to tears at times with her extremely loving ways and she is so good at  asking to go out when she needs to.  I couldn't have chosen a nicer cat so really pleased she chose me and OH.  Thanks for the link to owl and cat video,  has to Google it though.  Just priceless.
