I wonder if the lovely wee bobble head will be joined by a sibling today :)
EJ half snoozing at the moment, protecting chick #1 from the elements.
I'm off to roost for a few hours. See you soon.

Morning all! EJ did a little fly-about and gave me a chance to see a chick and two eggs (and the remains of the empty eggshell)

Thanks Auntie! Considering the terrible weather it is just as well the other two chicks are safe and dry in their shells

Auntie: I took a screen capture of the rainbow on the nest, too. LOL I'm going to post it, but yours is better! :-)
Morning all,
Thanks to everyone for the updates and captures yesterday afternoon/evening. I actually got out for once - a charity piano recitial in aid of the Japanese Tsunami appeal. Very good, but I was almost certain I would miss the 2nd hatching. It seems not. Still puzzled EJ hasn't removed the eggshell yet, it can't help with brooding surely.
Tiger: Interesting goings-on at that peregrine nest back in 2007 in Holland, rather comical video compilation though!
Glad to see that Odin brought an early breakfast - too early for me, I logged on about 10 mins after it arrived it seems.
The morning sun is illuminating the nest and causing flare on the camera as usual. Thankfully the wind seems to have abated, for the moment at least.....

Weather a wee bit better up here this morning. Slightly warmer and not so windy. EJ has been a bit restless so maybe chick 2 is imminent. Fingers crossed.
EJ stands up for a stretch and to rearrange some moss, then feeds the chick from that bit of fish left over from earlier. Looks like he/she is hungry this morning!
Good morning all
Thanks to everyone for keeping us updated yesterday
I was out all day yesterday watching and taking photos of the Kingfishers at Rye Meads. I have over 100 shots to sort through and my back is killing me, so I may have to have a lie down and use the laptop very shortly!
I said to my OH I'm bound to miss EJ's second hatching and he replied that I couldn't be in two places at once LOL but it seems my fears were unfounded.
I hope the second bobblehead appears today.
Best wishes Chris
