All quiet on the nest apart from the wind. EJ and the chick resting.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Hazel b said: Barbara Jean I do not think there will be another chick today. Normally first chicks arrive at 37 or 38 days and subsequent chicks take about 35 days. Since chick #1 arrived on 35 days there is not much room for manouvre.

Thanks Tiger. Then it is safe to leave the house and go shopping today :)
I leave my computer on and when I hear EJ calling or chirping I rush in to see what is happening .

Thanks to all for the early posts and pics, some great captures.
Happy Birthday from me too, Sheryl, glad to see you have joined us along with many more.
EJ just taking in the morning, always alert and looking over her shoulder, keeping the wee one warm and perhaps another one, who knows - today may be the day for the second hatchling.

Sounds like the wind is getting up at LG ... and the forecast for the next few days doesn't sound good :-(

Barbara Jean I would say so but do not sue me if I am wrong.
EJ and Odin are champions in the incubation stakes. EJ has only ever once (at Loch Garten that is) taken longer than 36 days to hatch the first egg. That was in 2006.
Tiger Signature
Good Morning everyone. I watched EJ giving Odin a lesson on how to feed a new born chick yesterday. (They still resemble mint humbugs to me.)
It will be a couple of days before the second hatch I think. Thank you for all the pics and posts. (BTW, TIGER is male and was brought up in a favourite bird watching place of mine where one can quickly and easily travel from sea cliff to forest). EJ calling for food or a break at the moment.
The mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work if it's not open.
EJ fed the chick and finished the last of the fish on the nest . She is now calling for Odin to go fishing for more
EJ has just been up and fidgited around, I thought I saw part of a broken egg shell but could be mistaken. She was actually getting rid of some loose downy feathers. She keeps giving us tantilising glimpses of the one chick.
odin brought in a fish but took off with it - EJ wasn't interested in it
Missed it, it looked like Odin paid a brief visit unless he was sitting on the cam post all along, and then flew off.
That's what it was, Pharazon.
