Hi everyone. All peaceful at the LG nest, with a gentle breeze blowing in the background.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
EJ's back
Morning all,
EJ has a feather stuck to the base of her beak, it's fluttering in the breeze and looks comical! Maybe she's still moulting poor girl. All seems quiet at LG..'cept the chaffinch of course. We have a beautiful male visits our table every morning and sings his possesion of the seed for all to hear! It's really uplifting to hear before setting off to go to the coalface.
Saw a rather savvy heron yesterday on our rambles. It was stood on a rock in the middle of the river Hodder with a merganser in the water just a little way in front. We watched for a while and sussed out what it was doing. Every time the merganser set off to chase and dive for a fish it followed and alighted on a rock nearby. It was obviously waiting for any fish the merganser had spooked but not caught!! Bird brain?? Nah!
Saw scores of sand martins by the Ribble and were surrounded by swifts catching insects over the Hodder bridge. Ah spring, it's wonderful.
Passed module 2 of ECDL ..onto number 3 now (there are 7!!!!!!)
Su :)
Smooth changeover just now. Odin egg sitting.
Margobird
Morning All. Odin has just flown in, empty taloned, to relieve EJ, who has flown off for a spot of exercise.
I wonder whether the 'hum' is influenced by the wet weather? It seems dry today - well at least at present.

Morning Margo!
Well done su on passing your exam.
Morning Sheila going to be completely lost without any chat before I go away. Perhaps it may be a good thing though as I can get holiday stuff ready without rushing around like a mad thing.
Well done Su on passing your exams.

Thanks a lot for your congrats!!! Phew glad that's over, only another 5 to go!!
EJ looks decidedly windswept and LG spookily quiet. Not seen the handsome one yet this morning nor any fish deliveries.
su Fish report from DjoanS at 8.46am, and currently I think Odin is on the nest. It looks like the back of his head, but I could be wrong!
EJ returned and had been sitting quite contentedly for a while now, when Odin appeared with a large stick and dropped it on her back. She has now flown off, leaving Odin on the eggs.
