Weekly Chat, Sunday 15 May 2011

Greetings all. Sunday, almost 9.45 am here. Gorgeous pics of flowers & cats & dog on previous thread.
Back later.

  • Diane - I see you are congratulating AQ on another grandchild, must have missed seeing that.

    My congratulations too, AQ.

  • Trish – bee experience sounds potentially nasty – but from what I have been told at various times, I don’t think the remainder will hang a round with the major part of the swarm(s) gone – especially if the Queen(s) was/were removed, and it sounds as if your neighbour will have taken care of that.

Welcome back, Alan – pleased you found us!  Sorry about the weather in Wales, but glad you had a good time and visited the two nests.  That is an excellent photo of the Redpoll – that new lens is definitely earning its keep! Do tell us how Hamish is now – I do hope he is less sore and managed some walking.

Thanks, Alicat, for telling us LotL cam is back – Lady was looking very wet!

Diane – Son didn’t change work schedule in the end – and seems quite well.  He is getting tired, but, as we have remarked to each other, this is probably the most he has ever worked consistently!  I think my tiredness was because I walked far too much in gardens while we were away – didn’t want to miss anything!

Wendy – I hoped the new format, linking etc would grow on me, but it still feels all wrong, and I certainly don’t like the same (small) font for everything – gets an oldie like me very confused!

Lynette – pleased OH is okay at present – I hope he stays well. ... I see you posted again as I was sending - will read it properly in the morning!

Been sorting through photos of the Galloway gardens this evening – will start telling you about the trip tomorrow – with photos.  Good night, all.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Eagle-eye and all: I have sent bettyboo a private message and included a link so that she can find our forum. I noticed that she hasn't posted since the upgrade, and her last posts didn't mention anything about going on holiday. I can't think of anyone else who is missing.

Lynette: AQ's daughter #2 is pregnant.

OG: Rest up from your trip.

Hi, Annette! If I recall, you should be arriving home soon.
